Environmental Practices for Working Inside the Factory

Wastewater Category

  1. Strictly prevent any chemicals, hazardous substances, oils, or wastewater from any operational processes from leaking onto the ground or into stormwater drains. In case of a spill or leak, immediately notify the responsible person supervising the external personnel or the environmental officer for coordination. Immediate actions must be taken to block the drains and contain the situation to prevent any external discharge or flow into public waterways.
  2. Wastewater generated from any operational processes by contractors must undergo preliminary treatment before discharge. The discharged water must meet the standards set by the company, or the contractor may dispose of it outside the company premises by lawful and appropriate methods, and be able to present supporting disposal documents at any time upon request by the company or relevant authorities.

Solid Waste or Unused Materials Category

  1. Waste must be disposed of only in designated areas and must be properly separated according to company guidelines.
  2. Waste generated from transportation, handling, or other activities must be removed and properly disposed of outside the company premises by the contractor using legal and appropriate methods. Supporting documents must be presented upon request by the company or relevant authorities.
  3. Care must be taken to ensure no garbage or debris falls into the company’s stormwater drains.

Other Nuisances Category

  1. No actions should be taken that may negatively impact the environment, such as causing unpleasant odors, loud noises, or dust that could affect the company or nearby communities.

Emergency Category

  1. In case of any emergency inside the company:
    • In case of fire, explosion, or any accident, contact the Safety Department immediately at 087-249-7140.
    • In case of chemical spills or contamination into the soil or storm drains, immediately contact the Environmental Management Department at 038-345234.
  2. For primary medical attention, call 1669.
  3. The emergency alert signal is a **long continuous bell sound**.
  4. The evacuation signal is a **long continuous siren** along with an announcement to evacuate. Walk quickly to the nearest designated assembly point.

Energy and Resource Conservation Category

  1. Help conserve energy and all types of company resources by using them efficiently and valuably, such as water, electricity, and paper.

Vehicle Category

  1. Vehicles entering the company must not have any leaks of chemicals, lubricants, or fuels. Emissions and loud noises must also be controlled.
  2. Traffic rules, signs, and symbols within the company must be strictly followed.
  3. The speed limit within the company premises is 20 km/h.
  4. Follow the instructions of the security personnel and park only in designated areas.
  5. Engines must be turned off immediately upon parking (except where the engine is required for work operations).

Toxic or Hazardous Substances Category

  1. Vehicles transporting hazardous chemicals or toxic substances, as defined by law, must display hazard signage. Containers must be clearly labeled with the name and type of substance.
  2. Emergency response equipment must be available on the vehicle to contain accidents immediately if they occur.

General Category

  1. Work must be carried out with caution to avoid environmental impact.
  2. Tools, debris, and materials must be neatly organized in the work area and cleaned up daily after work. Wastewater and waste must be properly managed.
  3. In the case of complaints or violations of these environmental guidelines by contractors, the company reserves the right to issue warnings or suspend operations until corrective actions are taken.
  4. Smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas, clearly marked with a “Smoking Area” sign.
  5. Food is strictly prohibited in work areas. Meals must only be consumed in designated areas provided by the company.
